February 2024 - Week 2 Roundup

Leopard

Sighted on: 11.Feb.2024

We bumped into the undisputed king of the road this evening. The king in question is a leopard so named because he is frequently sighted near the main road that runs through the park.

Crested Serpent Eagle

Sighted on: 14.Feb.2024

We had a fantastic sighting of a Crested Serpent Eagle during the morning vehicle safari. It offered us a clear view, and our guests were able to take some great images. The Crested Serpent Eagle, as its name suggests, is primarily a snake-hunter. It seems to favour tree snakes particularly. But its diet isn't limited to serpents; it will also take lizards, frogs, toads, mammals, eels, small birds, termites, and large earthworms.
