Leopard

During the evening vehicle safari, we were lucky to spot a leopard in a tree. It was perfectly camouflaged, and it took all my experience to spot it. The fading light worked against us until the leopard decided to rise. Fortunately for the photographers among our guests, the setting sun cast a rim light around its whiskers.

Langur

And if there is a leopard, can the langur be far behind? Known colloquially as the ‘CCTV cameras’ of Kabini, the langurs are the watchmen of the forest, warning others of the approach of predators. We spotted this individual perched high up in a tree, with perfect rim lighting complementing our earlier leopard sighting.
