Contrary to conventional wisdom, monsoon is a great season to go on a safari. It is a season for one who loves the jungle in its full glory of lush green trees with rain caressing the jungle to make it fresh and rejuvenating. During a recent safari, we had a beautiful 'monsoon sighting' of a mother and cub Leopard duo. What could be more fitting to crown the lush green jungle?

Sambar

It has been a long wait to experience the country's most celebrated and unique wildlife experience - a boat safari in Kabini. On the 15th morning, I guided ten guests from Evolve Back and fourteen from other resorts. I was keen to explore the banks of both the Bandipur and Nagarhole tiger reserves, and we soon spotted some large cormorants resting on the dead tree branches. Later guests themselves started spotting a few birds. We saw a herd of Sambar on the Bandipur side from a distance. From then on, the safari was in a complete phase of spotting animals by guests themselves. In the end, we saw four Crocodiles in four different spots. All the guests were appreciative of the entire experience.
