Giant Wood Spider

The arrival of the pre-monsoon showers, besides providing much-needed relief from the heat, also resulted in increased insect activity. This was a boon for insect-based predators such as the Giant Wood Spider. During the nature walk, our guests got to see male termites trapped in the web of a Giant Wood Spider.

While the rains are notorious for dampening one's spirit, they are no match for tigers. We saw this magnificent animal seemingly enjoying the pre-monsoon showers during the evening safari. Truly majestic and wet!
