Tusker
Sighted on: 19.September.2023
While embarking on a safari in Nagarahole, the forest consistently springs surprises when you least anticipate them. As we were tracking a sloth bear, we patiently waited for about ten minutes, and then, out of the thick vegetation, the bear suddenly appeared. It proceeded to scratch its back against some trees along the road. Afterwards, it moved briefly to the right side of the road before hastening to the opposite side. When we reached the spot where it paused and decided to take a different route, we unexpectedly encountered a magnificent tusker accompanied by a herd of elephants. The tusker strolled approximately 200 meters ahead, leaving us both amazed and captivated by its imposing presence.

Painted Stork
Sighted on: 21.September.2023
Winter has recently begun in Kabini, leading to a gradual decline in water levels. This season offers the opportunity to witness various waders along the riverbanks. One such remarkable sighting occurred during our recent safari when a Painted Stork was spotted gracefully foraging for its prey in the shallow waters.
